Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife has had lumps in the same place on her head for a couple of years-uncomfortable but not painful. The Drs she has seen have not really done much about it apart from sending her for a scan which came up with nothing. They are still here and she s really worried. She had Bell s palsy 3 years ago and symptoms went after a couple of weeks and it has not come back. She also has a history of eczema and viral infections but feels that her Drs take this into account rather than isolating the problem and dealing with it on an individual basis. No one has told her what it is and she felt the scan was very brief and not focussed on the correct areas of her head. She and I want to know what it is and who to see that would properly look at things.
As per images, you sent it looks like a cyst. Can be dermiod cyst or lipoma. Definelty not can cancerous or related to tonsillitis. Need clinical evaluation.
If it the size increases or cause pain and redness then need urgent treatment. If not u can wait and watch. No empirical treatment for this. Don't worry tonsillitis does not cause a bump in the forehead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
