General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms described by you suggests that you have an abscess. You can better send me a photo of the lump on reports in order to better evaluate it. I would recommend you to take antibiotics medication. In this case treatment of choice incision and drain and apply antibiotics ointment locally. I also recommend you consult with a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
