Suggest Treatment For Large Bump On Knee After An Injury

hello, i fell onto my knee about 5 years back and bruised it quite badly. nothing broken. But since then i have like this huge swelling underneath my knee on the top of my shin area that actually stretches all across the front and sides of my leg that just doesnt go away. it feels very fluid like if you press it. it is not sore and my knee and kneecap itself is not swollen nor affected by it at all. it just looks really bad. what could it be? i could send you a photo?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a hematoma. Consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan. As of now you can apply ice packs for faster recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
