Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Painful Lesion On Penis

Hi Doctor I have cracks on my penis and it becomes white all over but not itchy or painful i need help which cream or treatment to use also for my wife what can she use just to be on treatment together. Whatever treatment you guide us pls bear in mind that she is breastfeeding if its safe for the baby I mean if its orall . Thanks

Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the issue of itchy and painful lesions on penis with involvement of wife might be concerned with Herpes simplex lesion most likely. However, a Chlamydia infection is also a differential diagnosis of common concern. My guidelines at present:
- Intramuscular shot of penicillin for both partners
- Oral azithromycin for you
- Antihistamine as cetirizine for both
- Your wife can use local application of Miconazole (2%) cream over genital lesion
- Strictly avoid any type of sexual relationship (even protected one as well)
- Discuss need of additional particular medications, anti viral, antibiotic or anti fungal with your treating doc during your scheduled visit
