Suggest Treatment For Itchiness On The Thighs And Inside Of Arms

Recently I have been experiencing itchiness all over my body, specifically in the thighs, backs of legs, insides of my arms and back...I am so itchy I will scratch until I bleed and have red scrape marks all over my skin. Seems to intensify as the day progresses..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
From the description of your symptoms, my suggestion is you might have a fungal infection over the skin, but it is also difficult to say without making a physical examination. These areas are prone to more sweat accumulation and hence the itchiness might be exacerbated. I suggest you take bath twice a day, wear loose clothes and use a Ketoconazole Soap. Also, try to control the urge to itch, as it might only further aggravate the condition.
I find this answer helpful
