General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all you should do a pregnancy home test because the main reason for delayed period for women in fertile age is pregnancy.

If you are not pregnant you can take synthesised progesterone like hormones for at least 7 days.

Then you will stop it and period will come in 7 days after stopping it. You can try to take estroprogestative contraception pills every day the next months.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
