Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation

Ive been having irregular periods since i got married (6 months ago) and been having unprotected sex throughout. I went to an obgyn and she did blood tests throughout my cycle and said I was fine and there is nothing wrong with me. However, I find this hard to believe since I did some research about irregular periods.

Hello,

1. The average length of the menstrual cycle is 28-40 days.
2. If you are getting your periods in between this time then it is normal and if you are not and all your tests are normal then the main cause of your delayed menstruation is stress.
3. Still, if you think its irregular then you can check with your gynaecologist to evaluate you with ultrasound pelvis scan to rule out any other pathology in the organs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
