General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The high temperature, runny nose and cough are suggestive of possible lower respiratory tract infection via gram positive bacteria as strep pneumoniae or others. Apart from anti pyretic which will subside fever for a period of 4-6 hours, following measures will help her for faster recovery:
- Cologne sponging of head every 4 hourly
- Maintaining room temperature and not to use air conditioner or cooler
- Allow plenty of liquids to prevent dehydration via giving oral rehydration salt, lemon juice and others
- Prescription of antibiotic such as Cefadroxil or others from her primary care physician tomorrow morning

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
