General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Viral infections are generally self limited in persons that don't have other chronic conditions and are otherwise healthy. It is expected for you to improve in a few days and symptoms are not expected to last longer then 10 days.

Meanwhile i would recommend you to take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with aches and try to drink plenty of fluids, eat frequent small amounts regularly during the day and rest as possible.

It is normal to get chest pains with cough, but if you notice it is getting worse, or the cough is worse or you have fever or any worsening please see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
