Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure And Panic Attack

I have history of both stroke and heart attack . I take atenonol to regulate my heartbeat and another medication to raise my low blood pressure and it has been steady and in normal range for over a year untill today when I had a panic attack after a verbal attack on my son and me . When I had the panic attack I went to the emergency room and my no was 181/106 what are the risks of it being that high

Elevated blood pressure in your case needs a through evaluation in the form of baseline ECG ,2Dimensional echo lipid profile and serum electrolytes.This can accurately pick up the cardiac functional status.A renogram can be used to exclude the secondary causes of hypertension.Drugs like Metoprolol will help to control your blood pressure.Anxiety can be controlled by adequate stress management.Drug like short acting anxiolytics like alprazolam will help.These drugs need to be taken only under strict medical prescription.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6gm/day.Consult an expert cardiologist for further help.Post your further queries if any.
