General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
Hiatal hernia is a protrusion of stomach into the thorax and it usually leads to gastritis GERD and throat irritation so this could be a reason for recurrent throat infections. First, it can be treated with medications such as Omperasol 40mg or ranitidine. Throat infections should be evaluaetd with swab test and then antibiotics can be give. If there is no success then surgi cal repair of hiatal hernia may be recommended for severe cases.
I hope I have answered you query
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
