I would advise you in such a situation the following: Not to take the same laxative over a long time. You should chane over to another one like Bisacodyl, Phyllium husk that is esabgol with warm water, Picosulphate alone. Also have a high fiber diet. To make a list of foods and beverages that cause constipation and avoid them altogether. Added advantage can be had by getting barium enema done and also a colonoscopy to rule out any organic problem.
