CASE – SUMMARY


Patient’s Name: GOVIND LAL BARNWAL Age/Sex: 84 years/M
Date of Admission: 21/09/2010
Department: NEUROLOGICAL SCIENCES

Mr. Govind Lal Barnwal 84 years old gentleman, normotensive, non-diabetic presented with sudden onset left sided weakness along with slurring of speech on 21/09/2010. GCS on admission to ICU was E1M5V2 with left sided hemiplegia. CT scan of brain showed right MCA territory. Infact he was put on mechanical ventilation. Cardiologist was consulted for atrial fibrillation and antiarrhythmics were initiated.

Presently he is continuing life support. GCS is E3M5V2 and is on injection Edaravone 20 cc IV once daily, inj Epsolin 100 mg IV thrice daily, inj Neksium 40 mg IV once daily, inj Lasix 20 mg IV twice daily, Tab Ecsprin 150 mg one tablet once daily, Tab Atorva 40 mg one tablet once daily at bedtime, Tab Cordarone 200 mg twice daily.
