Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Dizziness

I had orbital decompression done to my rt eye, due to my Graves Disease, Sept 2016. While in surgery a hole was poked in my brain and there became CSF leak. I was admitted to hospital and told I was to go into surgery in next day to patch the leak and since I would be under, they would perform orbital decompression to my left eye socket. My question... It has been almost a year and I feel worse than i did before I had surgery. Can someone have lasting side effects with anesthesia? It took 1 month before I even felt like I was alive but I feel sick everyday. Mostly headaches and dizzyness.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headaches and dizziness which is caused by inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection , meniere's disease , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , sinusitis and low blood sugar. I suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper checkup so that there will not be any further complication . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , blood test , audiometry test , rotatory chair test and ECG to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe anti emetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics , decongestants ,drain sinus and some ear aid. For now avoid bending forward , take steam , drink ginger tea thrice a day and do light exercises daily like meditation and yoga .Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist in case of stroke like condition or headache due to high blood pressure .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
