Suggest Treatment For Frequent And Burning Urination In A Toddler
Two year old in last 3 hours has hadto urinate at least 6 times. Some times urinates usually very little, thenpoints to testicles an says it hurts. Acts very tired. Only wants juice (always diluted an low sugar). Ate breakfast but consumes very little.
Sir/ Madam, I understand your concern. It look like your son may have urinary tract infection. The symptoms include, Fever, Chills, increased frequency of urination, increased urge to pass urine, burning sensation while urinating and radiating pain.
it may be also be due to a calculi (stone) in the urinary tract which causes radiating pain in the testicles.
as you mentioned that the child is 2 years old. I would like you to visit the paediatrician and do certain tests:
1) urine culture 2) urine microscopy 3) ultra sound of KUB 4) external examination of the penile shaft (look for abnormalities of urethral opening)
symptomatic treatment: 1) fluids and keep the child hydrated 2) urine alkalizers if the child has UTI 3) Cranberry juice alleviates pain
hope the discussion helps.
