Suggest Treatment For Fluid Filled Bumps On The Scalp While On Azithromycin

I have recently been treated for mycoplasma infection with antibiotic injections and azithromycin by mouth as well as toradol injections. I have now developed small fluid filled bumps on both sides of my scalp. I am wondering if it could be caused by the infection?

Hi,

Small fluid-filled numbs in the scalp is likely to be folliculitis. This is a superficial skin infection of the hair follicles.

It's mostly painful. We generally recommend antibiotics for a few days for it but first, it should be confirmed. You may talk to your doctor who would see it and may prescribe antibiotics if needed.

Sometimes it may be allergic. It's unlikely to be related to mycoplasma infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
