Suggest Treatment For Fluid Filled Blister Behind Neck
I have what I think is a in grown hair on the back of my neck. I ve had this for about 6 months now it s starting to spread a little bit and where it was originally there is a blister and a clear sticky liquid that comes out. The liquid when I touch it makes my fingers rough and scaly this also happens on my neck when the liquid comes out on its own
Based on your history, folliculitis which is an infection of hair follicle can be the cause. In case of whitish material coming out of the blister, abscess could be the cause.Multiple abscess can occur in diabetes or chronic diseases like tuberculosis.Antibiotics should be taken to reduce the infection.Local application of antibiotics like neomycin or polymyxin can also be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
