Suggest Treatment For Fatty Liver And Weight Loss

Hi. I have been diagnosed with a fatty liver and I have lost about 24 pounds since last oct. Recently I have been having pain where my liver is. Should I call my doctor before my next appointment in May? You should have said in the beginning there was a charge.....I can go to my doctor for free. Thankyou

Hello,

Mild fatty liver is not a matter of concern and no definitive treatment is required either.

Avoid alcohol as alcohol worsen your liver condition and might lead to deleterious conditions like cirrhosis.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
