Suggest Treatment For Elevated SGPT And SGOT Levels

Hi Doc. I am Tes and i have elevated SGPT& SGOT . my doctor have advised me to take silymarin for 3 mos(3x a day)which i did ,but my SGPT& SGOT yielded higher results. I dont drink alcohol and taking amlodipine besilate 5mg daily for my hb pressure. Can gallstones affect my sgpt /sgot levels. would you recommend that i have them removed by operation. Thanks. aug 6,2016 result sgpt/alt 60.80 u/l sgot/ast 47.80u/l

Yes,these may be caused by gallstones,however some liver diseases such as hepatitis or fibrosis may cause it as well so the best would be to do ultrasound to see is there stone or liver lesion. Sylimarin can be taken.
