Suggest Treatment For Elevated ESR Levels While Having Rheumatoid Arthritis

Hi, I am a 24 yr old girl. Recently I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. My ESR was 48 at the beginning, during my last visit to the hospital it got reduced to 20, now again it goes up to 30, I missed the medicines doctor had prescribed me for a couple of days. Is that the reason behind the elevated level of ESR?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, it is possible that it is related.

One of your medications may be anti inflammatory or a immune suppressant (suppresses the immune system).
Missed doses may have caused an increased in inflammation.

The increase in ESR if not that high so it is possible that there was no significant effect on the rheumatoid arthritis.

I hope this helps
