Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain And Throat Pain

I have ear and throat pain that switches from side to side every other day or so. It started with a cold but all the other symptoms have gone away. The pain is the worse that I ever had. Swallowing. I have been strep tested and it can back neg any suggestions.

Read and understood that your problem started with cold and the strep test is negative.
Now that you have got pain in the throat and the ears, it indicates that you still have infection and inflammation in the throat that might be causing referred pain in the ears.
I would advise you the following:
Get a clinical evaluation and examination done by an ENT Surgeon so that a proper diagnosis and treatment can be carried on.
Take soft bland and warm diet.
I think you need a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines till you get cured.,
