Suggest Treatment For Discomfort And Pain In The Neck

Since November I ve been having pain/discomfort on the left side of my neck. It feels to be right under my ear and near my jaw. I can feel something is there when i swallow and under the back of my tongue. I went to an ENT, and she said i needed my tonsils removed, which was done February 16th. At my follow up after surgery, Dr. said everything looked ok, but I m still having that sensation/pain. Its giving my migraines now. The ENT doctor thinks it s my TMJ. I m asking what it could be, because it doesn t hurt when i open my mouth or chew. The only part that hurts is whatever it is feels like pressure pushing the inside of my jaw outward.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Your symptoms are not appearing to be TMJ but can be due to some problems related to either your salivary gland or lymph nodes in that side..
A pulled muscle can be a cause..
It should be evaluated by an Oral Surgeon..
An x Ray of the area can help in ruling out the cause..
For now you can try taking painkillers and muscle relaxant..
Do alternate warm and cool compresses..

Please let me know if it helps..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
