Suggest Treatment For Dermatophytosis
I work on a pediatric unit, and I have a patient with ring worm. While taking her vital signs she touched me, and I also touched her. While I did use hand hygiene after our encounter, I am worried that I was not precautious enough. Am I at risk of contracting it?

Dermatophytosis known as fungal infection of skin is a communicable disease and it spreads via touch or fomites.
So definitely there is possibility of acquiring the infection but usually short contact is not strong enough to spread the infection.
in case you get any symptoms like itch or red colored rash over body, you should consult your Dermatologist and start the treatment.
