Hi I usually have 24 days cycle. But now I am on 28th day with no periods. The urine pregnancy test came negative in the night. Is it possible for hcg levels to be still low or is there some other problem. I had an ectopic pregnancy in July which ended with one shot of mdx.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. During the first week after the missed period, home pregnancy test must be performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine as this contains the highest level of hormone and on standing, the hormone levels deteriorate, hence the need for a fresh sample. Please repeat the test as you did the test in the night. Else, you can go for the blood test which is more specific and sensitive and can detect even lower levels. A sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route should also be done in view of the previous history of ectopic pregnancy and further help should be taken from an expert. Hope this helps.
