Suggest Treatment For Chronic Hip Pain And Muscle Spasms In The Leg
My husband just recently pull or torn a ligament in his right hip. He has had cerebral palsy all his life so pain he is used to. This has seemed to totally slow him down to a crawl (literally that is what he has had to do. We are currently renting a wheel chair for his mobility issues. He just simply stand up anymore. Also every few hours he wakes up with severe muscle spasms down all of his leg. The doctors here seem to be stumped. Do you have any ideas what it could be? Any anything we can do for his pain?

Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. His problem is due to his disease Cerebral Palsy ,Please do these tests and send reports -::
1)Do a MRI scan
2)Do an EEG test of brain
3)If already treated then what was the treatment plan?
4)Check whether problem affects only certain muscles or the whole body ,in isolated spasticity use BOTOX injection directly give duration of every 3 months and if it is generalised give oral drugs like BACLOFEN OR DIAZEPAM OR DANTROLENE .
5)Do physiotherapy,occupational therapy,speech and language therapy,and recreational therapy
6)If every method fails then next plan will be surgery
