Suggest Treatment For Chronic Fatigue And Sleep Apnea

My brother has had debilitating fatigue for many years with the last few years being the worst. He has been diagnosed with chronic fatigue because no other cause can be found. He had a heart attack on July 29th, main artery, stent placement. He is so exhausted cannot keep eyes open. Other blood tests normal shows except EBV ab to nuclear Ag lgG... 565, EBV Av to early ag lg G.... 25.3, EBV VCA lg G ag... 750. Even though thyroid tests normal, could thyroid be a possibility? He is 62 years old and I don t know how to help him. Been to many doctors. He also has been diagnosed with sleep apnea.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Having sleep apnea can cause him fatigue and sleep during day. I think he may visit an ENT doctor to check for reasons of sleep apnea. Check also thyroid hormone levels because Hypothyroidism can be a cause. Also do a total blood count and biochemical blood balance.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
