Suggest Treatment For Chronic Endometriosis

My 23 year old daughter has been suffering with endometriosis for several years. She has had one surgery and tried various birth control pills. My neighbor, who also suffered with endometriosis, just told me that a doctor put her on Seasonique with amazing results. Do you know if this is a tested treatment for endometriosis? What results?

Hello,

Your daughter is too young to suffer from endometriosis. Endometriosis commonly occurs due to hormonal imbalance, fibroid, immune system disorder, transformation of peritoneal cells, embryonic cell transformation, thyroid or other medical problems. Endometriosis has no cure, but its symptoms can be managed. Seasonique is a BC pill that many doctors prescribe to make periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods.

Medical and surgical options are available to help reduce the symptoms and manage any potential complications. You are suggested to get her clinically examined by a gynecologist, get all imaging tests and required investigations done so that treatment of the cause can be started at the earliest. Your doctor may first try conservative treatments. Help her stay away from stressful lifestyle. She should take food rich in minerals (iron, calcium, etc.) and protein. She should reduce weight if obese. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
