General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ma'am and welcome.

The cause for the pain without any mentioned trauma could be further deterioration of your bone in the region, and unfortunately I cannot really comment on the current state of the bone there without an x ray wrist and also a bone DEXA scan to calculate your future risk for fractures.

Please do not hesitate to write back to me with the x ray and I shall surely help you further. But the current possibilities could include deterioration of your bone health in the region, progression of osteoporosis, and possibly even a pathological fracture.

Best wishes.
