Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And An Albumin Level Of 3.7

Rather worried about our 28 year old daughter. She went in for some chest pain...they are looking at GERTS as a possible explanation for that; however, her albumin was 3.7, globulin at 4.6. Globulin was same level about 3 1/2 years ago. Her doc hasn t gotten back to her yet on the serum protein electrophoresis. All other results are normal. Any thoughts on the a/G ratio?

A/G ratio has significance in many diseases, common in liver disorders, kidney disease etc.So one needs to have liver and kidney functiontests also done apart from protein levels.
GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disorder) has to be tested by upper GI endoscopy.Chest Xray and Barium studies for esophagus and stomach and duodenum, should also be done.
In mean time she may take Pantaprazole (Pantop DSR 20 mg), avoid heavy meals at a time, low fat diet, avoid spices and food stuffs causing heart urn.Avoid lying down immediately after food or lie with head and chest level higher than the rest of the body.Small feeds 2-3 hourly
