Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain After Smoking Cannabis
Hello doctor i smoke cannibus regularly for 3 years now. I exercize moderately im 5 ft 5 in in height i weigh 185lbs and am 28 years of age. i eat moderately healthy but recently i been getting chest pains and im not sure if its because im smoking cannibus.
Understanding your concern. As per your query chest pain after smoking Cannabis because you are taking it since 3 years and it has effect of constricting blood vessels and causing fast heart beating. Blood vessel contraction can itself cause chest pain. It could be due to release of adrenaline from medulla which leads to release of adrenaline which causes activation of sensory nerve endings and increase heart beat and pain. So I would advise you to stop smoking cannabis. I recommend you to perform a resting ECG and routine blood test, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, and a chest x ray to exclude other causes. Try to switch on to lower dose and then completely quit.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
