Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation From Stomach Through Waist Area
I have a burning sensation at the skin level from the back of my waist running to the front and going up towards the bar my stomach from the esophagus side so a little bit higher than the waist no visible redness or anything but it is very sensitive to touch including for my shirt what can this be
This sounds like neuropathy. Neuropathy refers to abnormal function of the nerves.
It can be temporary or permanent.
There are different possible causes such as: (a) diabetes (b)infection such as shingles (c)trauma to the nerves that are responsible for this area eg any issue with the back (d)liver or kidney disease (e)side effect of medication (f)nerve diseases such as ms or stroke (g)exposure to toxins (h)idiopathic- cause not known (i)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
If it continues then you may need to see your doctor to determine the exact cause. This would require physical examination and it is likely investigations may be needed.
I hope this helps
