Suggest Treatment For Bruise And Swelling In The Ankles

Back in June I fell off a ladder and when I landed on the side of my ankle I heard a pop. My ankle immediately bruised and swelled. Was very difficult to walk on for a few days. Months later now I am having a dull ache on the side of my leg from the ankle up on the outside of my leg.

Hello. You should have gone to ER immediately to rule out a fracture of the lateral malleolus or other ankle bones, and have proper immobilisation and management. It could also have been ligamentous injury and this as well needs expert management. I advise a visit to ER for Xrays, and physiotherapy if there are no fractures. Your ER doctor will be able to advise further. Hope you get better soon.
