Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Upper Respiratory Infection

I have been sick with bronchitis with an upper respiratory infection and ear infection. I finished antibiotics almost a week ago however, I have been experiencing a rash that goes away but then pops up in other areas and now tonight I noticed that I have a lump just below my chin on the left side of my neck. I m a 45 year old woman. What could be the cause for this lump? I will make an appointment with my doctor tomorrow but in the meantime, I am really concerned about this.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a lump under the chin along with a recent history of a number of infections in oro-pharyngeal regions seems to be Reactionary Lymphadenopathy and is due to swollen lymph nodes secondary to infection.

You need not to worry as it will be resolved gradually as the infection will subside..
You can take a short course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Motrin and do warm compresses over the lymph nodes..
In case if it still does not resolve in a week to 15 days a biopsy can be advised to confirm the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
