Suggest Treatment For Bleeding And Pain In The Ear Of A Child

My 6 year old girl put a Qtip in her ear last night. She screamed out of pain immediately after that. There was some blood in her year. I cleaned it. She was complaining about pain for at least another 30 minutes. What should I do? She didn t complain this morning.

hi...gud morning.....it might be possible that she has perforated her drum or caused an external auditory canal laceration. In both cases don't worry you jus follow the following instructions:
just don't start any ear drops as it may aggravate the infection
keep ear dry
don't allow water to go inside the ear while bathing.
no swimming..
don't allow her chilled food items to avoid cough and cold which might affect the ear.
start her with tab amoxicillin 250 three times a day for seven days along with some painkiller as when required..don't worry traumatic perforation heal by themselves....if you have time you can just get an ear examination done by ENT SPECIALIST...don't worry she will be alright..
