Suggest Treatment For Allergic Reactions Caused By Intake Of Clindamycin?

I have had an reaction to clindamycin 300 mg my face is swollen small rash I have an infective tooth on my left side. Also, I am taking hydrocodone 5-325 tab alone with other meds such as Levothyroxine 25 morn.,Metoprolol 25mg daily, and Lipitor 10mg daily

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain in case if you have been allergic to Clindamycin which you are taking for allergic reaction then you should immediately stop taking the same and can consult an Emergency room to get prescribed with other competent antibiotics like Amoxicillin, Augmentin, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole combinations etc..

Also if you have a tooth infection on the left side then taking antibiotics alone will not resolve the infection completely and you need to get the tooth treated..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like IOPAR [x-ray] can be done to see the severity of tooth decay so that treated can be planned..

In case if tooth is in a condition to be saved then Root Canal Treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers can help in complete resolution..

In case if tooth is grossly decay then Extraction of tooth can help in permanent resolution..
