Suggest Treatment For Aggressive Behaviour Due To Tobacco Addiction
My dad has been diagnosed with heart failure. He has stopped chewing manikchand for about 15 days now but all of a sudden today he has asked for it? He has been very angry and aggressive towards his family because he has wanted us to go and get some manikchand for him and we have all come up with excuses. He has been eating manikchand for the last 10 years. We don't know what we should do
He has medical problems (heart problem) and gutks, both can cause behavioral problems. Smoking and gutka interferes with response to treatment, further complicating the scene. He must stop mankind chewing, for that variety of options are available. After a proper consultation he can take medicines, nicotine chewing gums, counselling etc. Aggression can be handled separately as well. Till then you can attempt gradual cutting down of the amount of mankind instead of trying to stop it abruptly. Regards, Dr Arun
