Suggest Treatment For Abnormal Smell In Nose And Headache
hi there im 30 year old woman over the past month i have being smelling burning on and off that no one else can smell and have a constane headache that get worse!!!i also find that i have blocks that last just a few seconds eg ill been talking and lose my place ,or drivingand find myself on the wrong side of the road.i also can have period where i feel drunk ,like there is a delay between my body and brain. i went to my gp who said i could have a infestion in my nose and gave me antibiotic so i took the course but my systems havent changed if any thing the headaches are getting worse and can cause me to have blured vision .dont know what to do next thanks bronagh
Your overall history is suggestive of sinus infection and may be related or unrelated brain condition. Hence I would advise you the following: Consult an ENT Surgeon. Nasal Endoscopy. MRI of nose and brain. Relevant tests of blood. All these will give a proper diagnosis. If medically treated then a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory may help you. If surgery is advised then go for it.
