Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain After Having Amoxicillin

I took three doses of amoxicillin five hundred milligrams. I quit taking it twenty four hrs ago because of severe abdominal pain. It can come and go if I get into right possession. It is bad when I walk or stand up. Will this pass soon as I read this can be a side effect of amoxicillin. That is why I stopped taking it, I am away from my doc for weekend. Is this serious at this point? Should it have passed by now?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from antibiotic induced hyperacidity as Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and at times intake of antibiotics can cause severe hyperacidity, acid reflux as well as digestive disturbances..

It is however temporary and resolves as the antibiotic intake is stopped..
You can consult your treating physician if the symptoms are severe..
As of now, till you are on medication you should take empty stomach Pantoprazole or Omeprazole..
Take antacids like Milk of Magnesia half an hour before meals..
Drink plenty of cool water and avoid spicy and acidic foods..
Take more of yoghurt in diet..
