Suggest Treatment For A Rash On The Vagina And Thigh
I have a rash on the crease of my vagina and my thigh. It is red, itches, burns and kinda smells. It has also been bleeding a little bit. It hurts and I don t know what to do. My mom thinks it could be a former of an std because I ve started having sex. But I told her I have had these even before having sex.. Im not sure what to do..
It is jock itch due to discharge coming out from vagina and can either be a bacterial or a fungal infection.
If I were your treating Physician I would have treated it as Jock itch and would have preferbly prescribed you with Azithromycinoral antibiotics if not allergic to. Plus, Vaginal Cream Clotrimazole to be applied inside vagina twice daily.
Avoid rubbing and no vaginal douches as it will aggravate the issue. Use cotton only dress. No tampons at all.
Take a healthy diet and plenty of clean drinking water. Restrict physical activity and walking for some days. Remain away from hot and humid environment.
Feel free to extend this discussion by asking a follow up question. I am here to extend my expertise.
Regards! DR. HANIF
