Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Ear

Hi I have a lump right above the top of my right ear, more towards the front then the back, it hurts to touch kind of, it was never there before it is the size of a zit maybe a little bigger, its not red its the colour of my skin, I was wondering if its normal, I know its not a pimple its something else

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful lump on the ear which is mainly due to infection of the ear lobe or due to parotid gland swelling. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take a combination of Antibiotics along with antihistamines. Apply Voltaren Gel locally. Gargles with Listerine antiseptic mouthwash. Take Tab Zincovit to fasten the healing. You should take hot fomentation on daily basis. Symptoms will resolve in one week. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Once a proper diagnosis have been made, start treatment accordingly.
