I can understand your situation and problem.
COAD (chronic obstructive airway disease) is progressive disease of lung. And lung infection (pneumonia) is very common complication of COAD due to poor lung defense.
The best treatment for pneumonia is identification of causative organism and appropriate antibiotic based on culture and sensitivity report.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done sputum culture to isolate the causative organism and sensitivity report for guidance of antibiotic treatment.
Control of pneumonia is must for control of COAD.
