Most of the time fast heart rate are caused by stress, anxiety & tensions. It is triggered by the stimulants that you might be taking like caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, entertainment drugs, smoking etc. Avoid it.
Hormonal changes due to
contraceptive implant(Implanon) or other contraceptive devices or pills,
thyroid dysfunction, congenital heart disease or heart conditions like arrhythmia,
sinus tachycardia,
atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation may cause heart palpitations & discomfort.
You are suggested to get physically examined by a heart specialist & get CBC, Urinalysis, ECG, Echo, X-Ray done to rule out any developing heart disease.
If you are obese, get a
lipid profile done. Take home made food avoid eating junk food, stay well hydrated. Dehydration also causes palpitations.
To regular exercise and stay away from stress. Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the disease detected. Maintain weight as per BMI.
