Suggest The Best Family Planning Method

Hi,

I am 29 years old, married before 7 years. Got one son. He is 6 years.

I am not interested in having another child. I do not have proper guidance and knowledge on correct family planning measure

Because of that I underwent 2 aborsons already. Once using tablet and another by DMC. And then I used Copper tube for 3 years.

Now it got expired and I removed it. My parents are not allowing me to do Family planning surgery with single child.

Please advice what can be the proper family planning measure i can take.

Hello,

1. You can get Copper T re-inserted.
2. You can get a contraceptive implant in your arm.
3. You can take regular contraceptive pills.

You can consult your local health care provider for the best contraceptive method that will suit you. You can go for any one of the three-contraceptive method. Take regular contraceptive pills according to instructions in its leaflet or as advised by your health care provider.

All contraceptive methods do have side effects. Always use condoms, contraceptive methods / device will protect you from pregnancy but not from sexually transmitted diseases.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
