Suggest Supplements To Manage The Adverse Effects Of Radiation Treatment

My wife s taste buds have been adversely affected from radiation treatment as well as her ability to gain weight. What can we do to repair the damage? I have heard about supplements, and other treatments but don t want to put her through a bunch of false starts. She s already frustrated/depressed enough

Hi,

Radiation theryvan lead to loss of rapidly dividing cell lines like outer skin and inside of gut mucosa. Also radiation therapy has psychological and physical manifestation though in many cases these are self limiting and settle down with time, but management of individual complications is recommended, and for feeling of depression, anxiolytics can be helpful. Supplements for vitamin C and E as well as zinc can be helpful for normal development of lost tissue due to radiation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
