Hi,

Citralka Liquid contains disodium hydrogen citrate that is used in the treatment and prevention of gout as well as kidney stones. Citralka Liquid helps kidneys get rid of excess uric acid that prevent gout and kidney stones by increasing the pH of urine. Side effects of Citralka Liquid are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, increased frequency of urine, diarrhea, tiredness, flatulence, GIT upset, fatigue, anxiety, gastric ulcers, allergic reactions etc.

Zyloric tablet contains allopurinol that is used in the treatment and prevention of gout. It helps to keep uric acid low in your body. This medication is usually prescribed for long term treatment. Side effects of Zyloric are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, skin rashes, drowsiness, raised TSH level, loss of appetite, alternation of taste, dizziness, blurred vision, yellow discoloration of skin and eyes, allergic reactions etc.

If these side effects from these medications last for long, then you should consult your doctor first for medical attention. Despite having side effects, you should not stop taking these medications without your doctor's permission.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
