Suggest Safe Dosage Of Progesterone

I was just prescribed 1,000 mg twice daily of progesterone. I don t like taking meds and this med is all natural. Should I have any concerns. My concern is the dose is too. high. Would it be ok to try this once a day for a week and then go up to twice a week?

Hello
You mentioned that progesterone is advised 1000 mg twice in day .
But you didn't mention the disease for which this dose was advised by your doctor .
So at this time without proper history ( means disease or indication ) ,this is very difficult to advise you because 1000 mg may be a subnormal dose or high .
Normally natural progesterone is advised for primary -secondary amenorrhea , uterine bleeding, post menopause, premenstrual syndrome , uterine hypoplasia.
The doses are 100 -400 mg once or twice in day depending on type of disease or severity of symptoms.
So consult your treating physician and get his opinion.
