Suggest Remedy To Stop Calcium Oxilate Kidney Stones?

I am 62 years old have had 12 calcium oxilate kidney stone operations. Last surgery was about 6 weeks ago. The calcium oxilate stone was the size of a golf ball!!! I ve had a diseased parathyroid removed-it was the size of golf ball!!!!!!! That surgery was in 2002. My calcium levels were normal and they are normal now, but doctors say I don t have a diseased parathyroid. The doctor could only find 2 parathyroids and he said the other 2 were somewhere else from my chest to my ear. What can I do to stop making calcium oxilate kidney stones???????????

Hello,

Preventing calcium oxalate kidney stones involves making certain dietary and lifestyle changes. Here are some remedies that may help reduce the formation of calcium oxalate stones:
* Increase water intake: Drinking plenty of water helps to flush out the kidneys and prevent the buildup of minerals that can lead to stone formation. Try and have at least 8-10 glasses of water per day.
* Reduce oxalate intake: Calcium oxalate stones are formed when there is an excess of oxalate in the urine. Limit your intake of high-oxalate foods such as spinach, rhubarb, beets, nuts, tea, and chocolate.

* Limit sodium intake: High sodium intake can lead to increased calcium excretion in the urine, which can contribute to stone formation. Try to limit your daily sodium intake to less than 2,300 mg.
* Get enough magnesium: Magnesium can help prevent the formation of calcium oxalate stones. Good sources of magnesium include leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
* Avoid vitamin C supplements: Large doses of vitamin C can increase the excretion of oxalate in the urine, which can contribute to stone formation. Stick to the recommended daily intake of vitamin C from food sources.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
