Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern. Oxycodone is an opioid drug and the drug is one of commonly used analgesic drug in severe pain conditions. It has potential to cause dependence which has resulted in increased risk of abuse with this drug. In most cases of opioid abuse the doses of drug should be tapered gradually over 8-10 weeks to prevent withdrawal. Sometimes Buprenorphine or Methadon are also used to help in smooth tapering of doses. Drugs like Gabapentin or Pregabalin can help in reducing craving and can help to relieve symptoms. Visit a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and proper treatment.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
