Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,

As you have already been diagnosed with dengue which is actually a kind of viral fever and can be cured with medications without any problem,so no need to worry.

Go for complete blood counts almost daily (especially check for total WBC count, platelet count),ESR.

As it is viral fever, then we can expect it to resolve within 5-7 days even without the use of antibiotics.

Treatment is only symptomatic or supportive.

1) Take paracetamol 500 mg or ibuprofen 400 mg which is available over the counter to bring down the fever.

2) You may also take some anti-allergic medicines like levocetirizine (OTC) for a few days.

3) Drink plenty of water and fruit juices but avoid cold water and ice-cream if you have cold or chills.

4) Wash your eyes frequently with sterile water to reduce burning. You can also use antibiotic eye drops if there is associated redness.

5) Take only light or soft diet for initial few days.Avoid taking oily, spicy and out-side food.Home food is preferable.

6) Take complete bed rest until fever subsides or you feel better.

If there is anything to be concerned in your reports in your blood counts and platelet counts then nearest physician or GP visit would be advisable.

Hope this information will be helpful.

Regards,
