Hi,
Vaginal itching can be caused by many things as you know, UTIs are very common as are
yeast infections. Yeast infections and what is called
bacterial vaginosis in particular generally have some form of
vaginal discharge, usually white, grey or even green at times. I am glad that you are not experiencing any
kidney discomfort, that is reassuring regarding a UTI. STI's are of course also a possibility and if that is any suspicion for you, I would suggest you see your family doctor for an evaluation. I would wonder if even a mild yeast infection may be going on your you as your primary concern is vaginal itching, even without a discharge this is very common and I am sure can be quite irritating.
IT may be worth your time to purchase some over-the-counter
Clotrimazole at a local pharmacy and apply it to the areas that are itching the most. If this is a yeast infection that would provide some relief in a matter of 3-4 days, if you do not have much if any relief then I really would say that your would need an evaluation with your GYN physician to have a exam to see what is actually going on.
Hormonal changes that occur routinely can also cause this but if this is a new symptoms for you that is less likely the case.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
